Rivervale Nursing Home

Built as a nursing home, opened in 2001.

Rivervale is single-storey throughout, set around a central atrium with three wings off it. That means no lifts or stairs to manage, daylight reaching the rooms, and the gardens right outside the door. Practical things that make a real difference day to day.

About the home

An offer, not a schedule.

There’s a programme of activities each week, but the day isn’t run to a timetable. Meals are made fresh on site, family come and go without set visiting hours, and residents keep the routines they had at home as far as is possible.

View daily life

Long-term, respite, dementia, and palliative care.

Registered nurses are on duty 24 hours, with healthcare assistants on every shift. Care plans are written for each resident and adjusted as needs change. Full information on each type of stay is on the care services page.
