Our Approach

Rivervale provides round-the-clock nursing care for older people who can no longer manage at home — whether for the long term or a short stay. Registered nurses are on duty day and night, with care staff on every shift, and we keep the same team with the same residents, so people are looked after by faces they know.

Every resident has a care plan written around them and reviewed as their needs change. We work alongside each person’s GP and the community services involved in their care, from physiotherapy to palliative care, so that support can be stepped up when it’s needed without anyone having to move on.

The types of stay below often overlap in practice. Someone living here long-term may also come to need dementia or end-of-life care, and that is provided in their own room by the staff who already know them, rather than as a separate placement.
